Healthcare mailbox

Loading...

This is the Healthcare platform's own mailbox, kept apart from the Rider mailbox. It sends confirmation and password reset links, ride notices to organizations (ride number, time and status only: never patient names, phones or addresses) and alerts to Healthcare admins.

Set up or change the mailbox

Which password goes in the mailbox Password field?
The Gmail App Password of the Healthcare Gmail account: 16 letters that Google creates for one app. It is NOT your Healthcare admin password (the one you use to sign in to this page), and it is NOT the normal password you use to open Gmail.
Where to get the Gmail App Password from Google
  1. Sign in to Google with the Healthcare Gmail account (the same address you put in Username below), not another Google account.
  2. 2-Step Verification must be on for that account: Google Account, then Security, then 2-Step Verification.
  3. Open myaccount.google.com/apppasswords (or search "App passwords" in your Google Account).
  4. Type a name, for example Healthcare mailbox, and press Create.
  5. Google shows 16 letters in four groups (like abcd efgh ijkl mnop). Copy them and paste them into the Password field below. Google shows them only once; if you already have this App Password saved, use that one.
Check the line under the Password field: it should say 16 characters entered (19 with the spaces). A different number usually means a different password is in the field.
Not your Healthcare admin password. Not your normal Gmail password.

The mailbox is logged into before anything is saved. The password is kept only on the server and is never shown again.

WhenToSubjectStatus Note
Automatic backups run every 6 hours into a separate folder on the server (). To protect against losing the server, download a backup regularly and keep it somewhere safe and private: it contains organization and ride details.

Export data

Everything as JSON, and all rides as a CSV spreadsheet, for records and reports. No passwords.

Signed agreements

Every organization’s signed Agreement 1 and Agreement 2 (every version ever signed) as readable PDFs, plus the exact signed text, a spreadsheet index and the full records, in one ZIP file to keep outside the system. Every backup above also includes this archive.

Restore from a file

From a backup file you downloaded earlier. This REPLACES all current Healthcare data; a pre-restore copy is taken first. Everyone signs in again afterwards.

Step by step instructions: docs/healthcare-backup-restore.md in the site's repository.
